At Triple-S we are deeply committed to improving lives in the communities we serve. Our core strategies for addressing our social responsibility are: community outreach, focus on education, prevention and employee engagement.
With managed care as our primary business, one of the main issues that we face is the increasing prevalence of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and obesity. Triple-S is meeting this challenge by carrying out an extensive outreach program to address them. A significant part of our educational efforts are aimed at the community, through weekly programs on broadcast TV and segments in radio, newspapers and social media.
Being closer to our members and communities is essential to promote prevention and healthy lifestyles. Thanks to a new and modern mobile outreach unit, we can now offer mental and physical health screenings, health education, stress management and nutrition counseling, among other services. The initiative also has a strong community outreach component, as the unit is available for visits to schools and other organizations.
Closer to home, our employees give their wholehearted support to worthy causes and organizations, like United Way, CAP, MDA and Albergue El Paraíso, among others.
